ONE RIPPLE, A WAVE OF CHANGE: HOW LIQUID I.V. RECOGNIZED WORLD WATER DAY 2026

Imagine this: You go to your bathroom sink to brush your teeth this morning, only to be met with a contaminated stream or nothing at all.

For millions of people around the world, this isn’t a hypothetical. It’s daily life. And why this World Water Day, and every day in between, Liquid I.V. is committed to solving the clean water crisis happening both globally, and right in our own backyards here in the US.

In fact, Liquid I.V. has been dedicated to the cause since the very beginning, prioritizing the Impact Program to fund a range of global and domestic community-led clean water solutions. One percent of Liquid I.V.’s revenue goes back to Liquid I.V.'s Impact Program, which means that every time you choose to hydrate with Liquid I.V., you help fund clean water solutions around the world.

Recognizing World Water Day with The Ripple Effect

On Sunday, March 22nd – World Water Day – Liquid I.V. gathered its local Los Angeles community together with a brand activation at one of the city’s busiest outdoor shopping destinations to shine a light on the growing water crisis and show how one small ripple can create meaningful change.

The immersive pop-up experience, called “The Ripple,” brought the brand’s Impact work to life – including the 2025 Impact Report that was recently published – with a physical, interactive journey. Visitors were able to move through a linear, educational build that illustrated the global ripple of impact each consumer makes every time they hydrate with Liquid I.V.

Whether longtime fans or first-time brand consumers, guests were invited to learn, reflect, and discover their own power to make a difference to increase clean water access for others.

Liquid I.V.’s Impact Program at a Glance

Liquid I.V. believes that water is a basic human right, yet a staggering 2 billion people globally, including 2 million right here in the U.S., live without access to it. Water access is under pressure from all sides: changing weather patterns bring less snow and more extreme weather, while aging infrastructure and hidden contaminants challenge the safety of every drop.

Despite the scale of the issue, awareness remains low. In fact, most Americans have no idea a domestic water crisis is happening at all, with more than 2 million Americans living without access to clean running water or basic indoor plumbing every day. Liquid I.V. remains committed to helping bring this crisis to light.

“Liquid I.V. was built on the idea that better hydration can power better lives — and that promise starts long before the electrolytes hit your glass. It starts with clean, safe drinking water,” said Jayce Newton, Senior Director of Impact for Liquid I.V. “Because clean water is so close to our heart as a company, we’ve made a commitment to pioneer a new standard in brand-led impact — one that goes beyond supporting individual projects and instead empowers all the people and organizations behind the cause. The biggest impact happens when we’re working together.”

A Year-Round Impact

The World Water Day activation is just one example of Liquid I.V.’s ongoing commitment. Through the brand’s impact work, funded by 1% of Liquid I.V.’s revenue, the brand partners with nonprofit organizations working on the front lines of the crisis, helping to directly expand access to clean water in communities around the world. From DigDeep, which brings clean, running water to families in the Navajo Nation, to WaterAid, which is doing life-changing work in Zambia, Liquid I.V. has the opportunity to uplift the work of partners who are already doing the work, some even a part of the communities in need themselves.

Beyond philanthropic grants, Liquid I.V.’s signature program, Confluence, brings together leaders from domestic clean water organizations to collaborate on various systemic water challenges. Participants gain access to the annual summit, funding for both individual and joint projects, and structured opportunities—like networking and roundtable discussions—to learn from one another and accelerate collective progress.

The Journey Continues

While the work is far from over, Liquid I.V. is proud of the collective progress towards a future where clean water access is a basic human right. The brand recently published its 2025 Impact Report, which details the year's biggest highlights, including:

  • Expanding clean water access to 1,078,795 people across 12 countries

  • Partnering with 25 non-profits and investing over $4M into clean water organizations

  • Donating 15 million sticks of Liquid I.V. for disaster relief and first responders in 50 states and 54 countries

By the end of 2026, Liquid I.V. aims to provide 2 million people with expanded access to clean water, and with 1.9 million people reached to-date, the brand is well on its way to meeting that goal.

By backing bold organizations, fueling collaboration, and funding the real costs of this work, Liquid I.V. is helping shape a future where hydration is possible for everyone. Not just for today—but for generations to come. Now that’s hydration with purpose.
